Iyengar, in full Bellur Krishnamachar Sundararaja Iyengar, (born December 14, 1918, Bellur, Karnataka, India—died August 20, 2014, Pune, Maharashtra), Indian teacher and popularizer of Yoga, a system of Indian philosophy.
