Waimea Canyon Lookout is directly across and you can see waterfalls in the distance. It can be tough and is not for those unprepared or with small children. The trail takes you toward Waipoo falls, but you’ll pass several smaller waterfalls on the way if it’s been raining recently. Mark Twain called it the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific." Plus, the views you’ll get on the Waimea Canyon trail are so much different than … Those with the skills and stamina to complete it are well rewarded, indeed. I suggest bringing poles or grabbing one by the trailhead.

WAIMEA CANYON TRAILS. The Waimea Canyon trail (aka “Canyon trail”) is one of the most popular hikes to explore the Waimea Canyon. One of the most popular trails in Waimea Canyon. The Kohua Ridge Trail is about 3 hours round trip and is a potentially treacherous undertaking.
